Awesome trail June, by karenfr I ride my bike on the trail from south Durham over I towards Apex. The comment about crime is totally overblown. Yes, there have been assaults but police have stepped up patrols. If you have any concerns, go with another person. Also, I haven’t heard of any assaults on cyclists. They actually just arrested a kid for two recent assaults.
From Solite Park south, there’s not too much traffic crossing the streets. Also the park is popular enough people playing basketball that your car won’t get broken into.
Some states, such as Washington, enacted lower speed limits. As of November 20, , several states had modified speed limits: The legality of the measure was questioned, and two Texas legislators threatened to sue to block the limit. Congress that enacted the National Maximum Speed Law. This includes some states that voluntarily lowered their limits in advance of the federal requirement. During the time the law was enacted and after it was repealed automobile fatalities decreased, and this was widely attributed mainly to automobile safety improvements, owing to an increase in the safety of cars themselves.

I am a white male. I live in the Raleigh area and interracial couples are more excepted here than ever. I don’t have that feeling about Vance county, is that the Hebserson, Oxford area? Once you get out of the major cities you will possibly get more negative reactions from people of both races. I think this is just because there is more Old South attitudes with the old local NC families of both races.
My parents have cared for my interracial foster sister since she was 6 months old, she is 28 years old now and I beleive they have gotten more negative reactions from black people than the whites in there North Raleigh commiunity but I think the black community has been more local and the North Raleigh white community is made up of more transplanted people from everywhere else. Another area that interracial couples are more common here are near the military bases.
Fayettville, Jacksonville and Goldsboro, NC. Small towns like Henderson and Oxford I would be suprized it they will be as receptive. Durham is a rough town but is know as the City of Mediine. Most think of it as dispressed and with high crime and it is offten a place of city political corruption. Good luck and best wishes. Last edited by etepsnewo; at

Within a month and a half our family lost two very important members that had been part of our family for more than a decade. The bond my son’s have with Max is incredible. The boys will fight over who’s room Max sleeps in at night, two the point they will sleep together so the both are with Max. Even when my two year old refuses to take his daily nap unless Max is in the room with him. Max is a very special dog, and we have even learned how smart he is.
With no other way in, we attempted to try to coach our son how to unlock the deadbolt. We asked him to slide over one of the kitchen chairs so he could climb up and unlock it easier. After we continued to repeat to my son that he need to move the rug, Max began digging and pulling at the rug moving it from in front of the door. We don’t know much about his background, except that Tarheel Weiminarner Rescue, rescued him and his sister from a kill shelter.
When the rescue got him he was significantly under weight. But now Max is a very health flourishing beautiful boy, and we feel very lucky to have him.
